I Am Thankful

Happy Holidays Everyone!!!
It has been awhile since I posted my last blog, however, I continue to have you on my mind and in heart.
Since my last posting, I pray that God has "Blessed YOU" beyond your most vivid imagination! My prayer is that God has really "Showed Up and Showed Out" in YOUR life!
I know that for myself, God has done more than enough and for that I am Thankful!
I am thankful that inspite of the times when I took God's blessings for granted; when I murmured and complained because things were not the way I thought they should be; when I all but shook my fist at God; when my "intellectual" vision was so narrow and shallow........inspite of myself and my selfish ways, God held onto me, God remained steadfast in HIS commitment to me; He remained steadfast in HIS love towards me! Oh, how grateful I am for God's Unconditional Love!
In this season of Thanksgiving, I want to encourage you to "Bless" someone not just during the holiday season, but "especially" during the holiday season.
Oftentimes, we put so much focus on our plans with our family and closest friends that we fail to reach out to those who are not as "Blessed" as ourselves. I challenge you to go "Above and Beyond" what you have done in the past. Whether, you make a financial donation, a clothing donation, or a food donation. Whether you Volunteer at a shelter or a soup kitchen. "It All Counts!!!"
As you make this holiday season count for both yourself and others, may you be richly blessed know that - "You Made A Difference!"
Be Blessed!

I was truly blessed by what you wrote, Yolanda. I especially like the Faith blog on Sept 14. I spoke to me. I have been refusing to reconcile with my uncle, and I can see I am holding up my and his blessing by my delay in addressing it. ANd I appreciate what you said, that it's not my responsibility to determine the results. Thank you for saying that. It really is a blessing to know you, Yolanda. And I appreciate you being you and not someone else. God is helping me accept who I am, and the process is at times uncertain and at times wonderful. Hope's House was instrumental in this. Here's the link I was telling you about, the place I went to in TN. They just this year opened their facility/home to minister to young teens. God is moving in and through this ministry. http://www.adoorofhope.com/ I'll be in touch! Anita
